This project was initiated initiated a significant project named "සුbhaமங்," meaning "Blessed Journey," to launch our new Rotaract chapter. This initiative aimed to seek blessings from various places of worship, symbolizing unity, abundance, and shared faith. Our journey began at a church, where a priest blessed us and prayed for our future, filling us with hope and spiritual strength. We then visited a mosque, where the Imam performed a ritual, praying for our protection and well-being, reinforcing our sense of divine guardianship. At the Kovil, we offered fruits to the deities, received Vibuthi on our foreheads, and Prasadam, deepening our spiritual connection. Finally, at the temple, a monk prayed for our success, and we offered flowers, incense, and oil lamps, creating a serene atmosphere. This project not only marked the start of the year but also strengthened our faith, brought us peace, and solidified our bonds as a club, demonstrating our commitment to embracing diverse spiritual traditions with unity and purpose.
Our recent Board of Directors training day was a vibrant celebration of collaboration and camaraderie, aimed at equipping our team for a successful year ahead. We began with introductions, sharing personal journeys and insights about Rotary and the Rotaract District, fostering a connection. Icebreakers like sharing fun facts and pairing up co-directors created laughter and friendship, enhancing unity. The day included engaging activities like "Making the Shape" and the "Human Knot" game, which promoted creativity, teamwork, and strong bonds. We delved into public relations strategies, finance structures, and essential discussions on discipline and bylaws. The day culminated in the "Lava Tiles" game, reflecting on citations, celebrating 2023 achievements, and aligning for the future. We ended with group photos and snacks, cherishing the laughter, learning, and lasting friendships formed.
